Location & Arrival Instructions for Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort
Farnham Estate Spa and Golf resort is located just south of the border of Northern Ireland in County Cavan, 4 km from Cavan Town and within 90 minutes drive from Dublin, two hours from Belfast. Please remember to call the number provided on your confirmation email 10 minutes before expected arrival, so a member of our Housekeeping team can meet you at the Resort House and show you around.
The following are directions to Farnham Estate from Dublin, Belfast and Enniskillen.
(Approximately a 90 minute drive)
From Dublin, take the N3/M3 towards Virginia and Cavan.
As you approach Cavan town, you will come to a roundabout where you take the second exit signposted to Cavan Town.
Keep on this road where you will pass Cavan Crystal Hotel and Breffini Football Park.
As this roads winds into town you will come to small set of traffic lights where you go straight through.
Almost immediately you will come to a small roundabout – take the left hand exit towards Killeshandra/Crossdoney (R198).
Approximately 1km from there you will come to a fork in the road where you keep left.
Continue along this road, where you will pass Cavan Golf Club on your right hand side and approximately 500m from there you will see a road on the right hand side and a Resort Houses sign on the left, please take this road.
Take the second entrance on the right of this road and you will see signposts for The Walled Garden Houses and The Orchard Houses.
(Approximately a two hour drive from Belfast)
Take the M1 from Belfast and continue on towards the A4 (Enniskillen and Omagh).
At the Ballygawley roundabout, take the first exit onto the A4 (signposted Armagh, Dublin & Enniskillen). This road will take you through the towns of Augher, Clogher, Fivemiletown going towards Enniskillen.
When you enter Enniskillen keep on the Dublin Road.
At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Firths Pass (signposted Sligo, The West). Keep straight on this road through the town heading for Sligo and The West.
When you cross the bridge, keep to the left at the traffic lights and this will bring you to a small roundabout. Take the 1st exit towards Derrylin which is approximately 10 miles on the A509. Drive straight through Derrylin towards Teemore/Belturbet.
At the Staghall roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the N3 (signposted Dublin, Cavan).
Drive straight through Belturbet towards Butlersbridge/Cavan.
Take the Turnoff for R188 (Signposted Cavan/ Cootehill)
At the junction take the R188 signposted to Cavan
Continue on this road until you come to a T junction and take the left turn for Cavan Town (signposted tourist office)
Keep right at the V in the road
At the small roundabout take the right exit towards Killeshandra/Crossdoney (R198).
Approximately 1km from there you will come to a fork in the road where you keep left.
Continue along this road, where you will pass Cavan Golf Club on your right hand side and approximately 500m from there you will see a road on the right hand side and a Resort Houses sign on the left, please take this road.
Take the second entrance on the right of this road and you will see signposts for The Walled Garden Houses and The Orchard Houses.
(Approximately a 45 minute drive)
From Enniskillen take the Dublin Road.
At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Firths Pass (signposted Sligo, The West). Keep straight on this road through the town heading for Sligo and The West.
When you cross the bridge, keep to the left at the traffic lights and this will bring you to a small roundabout. Take the 1st exit towards Derrylin which is approximately 10 miles on the A509.
Drive straight through Derrylin towards Teemore/Belturbet.
